Secure Business Content
Your CEO and the executive admin spend hours perfecting and assembling the presentations, financial statements and other confidential company information for the board of directors meeting. With Signal, this confidential information can be secured and delivered right to the board of directors’ device of choice - which happens to be an iPad. After the materials are delivered, you realize one of the presentations needs to be updated. You can easily “replace” the old file with the new one in a snap. Additionally, if some material is outdated, content can be expired or even remotely deleted off selected devices.
Merger & Acquisition Activity
Your company is considering a strategic acquisition of a top competitor. With Signal, you are able to securely publish sensitive corporate data to internal or external executives around the world. Content access is measured and recipients are unable to print or share content with anyone else. Unfortunately, the planned acquisition is cancelled two days before the announcement. The Signal security settings are changed to make published content inaccessible and it’s remotely deleted from all recipients’ devices. Detailed reports are prepared to confirm content was securely managed in this process.
Meetings under NDA
You’re having a meeting with a customer under non-disclosure. Everyone in the meeting wants to exchange presentations. Instead of trusting that they won’t share this information with your competitors, you can ensure that your presentation stays with intended recipients. With Signal, only the subscribers and their authorized devices receive your content. If forwarded, your Signal-secured content cannot be viewed by an unauthorized device. Even better, you can set a policy on the content to expire by certain date, giving you more control of your proprietary content.
Marketing and Sales Materials Distribution
A company’s remote sales force and regional resellers need up-to-date price lists, competitive analysis, white papers and product briefs. With Signal, the sales administrator distributes content securely to the sales team and partners. Using Signal’s encryption and DRM, the company is able to ensure these documents are not distributed, saved or printed. Time sensitive material such as price lists and competitive analysis may be published, knowing the attached policy defines the expiration date preventing use after that time.
Field Service Repair
The service director is responsible for the maintenance of a large number of different product types to technicians distributed worldwide. With Signal, there’s no need to search and download the corporate FTP site prior to the visit, or worse, use the client’s network. Updates and notifications are quickly and easily published to technicians’ laptops without needing manual downloads. Signal also stores the content with persistent encryption, so if the laptop is lost or stolen, the content will not be compromised. In the event the technician or third-party contractor leaves the service organization, access to all content can be revoked, preventing any ad-hock, unofficial maintenance by the technician.
Content Distribution to Mobile Workers and Contractors
An insurance and brokerage company has 500 agents throughout North America that make home visits to clients, selling life insurance and financial products. Providing accurate, up-to-date documents and regulatory information to agents is crucial. With Signal, documentation needed by the agent is securely pushed to their laptop. Access to the content is controlled via timed usage policies, outdated information expires automatically and is replaced without any user intervention. Additionally, agents are required to complete training modules. Training videos and briefing notes are pushed to their laptops to with the latest rules and regulations. Signal reports viewing metrics, so the company can verify an agent received the correct training.
Before a new Hollywood blockbuster is released, screeners from around the world need to review it in advance. Executives, directors, producers, talk show hosts, and columnists receive a secured version of the blockbuster direct to their device of choice. They launch the Signal App and select to view the blockbuster. Before it begins, Signal’s "A before B" policy is in action, where the legal warning automatically plays before the movie, enforcing a viewing sequence. Once the blockbuster is released in theaters, the studio expires and deletes the content off of screeners’ devices and the next pre-release blockbuster is delivered to screeners.
During production, Signal can be used as a secure distribution platform. Dailies are securely delivered in the right format to executives, producers and others needing access to the dailies distribution. Dailies can be secured and delivered to multiple devices such as Mac, iPad, Android tablets and Windows PCs. Expiration dates can be set on files or the publisher can remotely delete old files to minimize content overload, keeping their subscribers focused on the dailies that need their attention.
Script, Music and Artwork
A hot new song was written for a special television episode. In order for the cast to prepare for the shooting of this scene with the hot new song, rehearsing off the lot is necessary. The cast received the secured song, along with video clips of the choreography to their iPads, Androids, PCs, and Macs. The cast is able to rehearse anywhere they might be and the studio can be certain that the song won’t be leaked before the TV show airs.
Actor and Agency Recruitment
A new blockbuster is in the works and in order to line up the right cast, the script has to be shared with actors, managers and talent agencies. To ensure that the script and related materials about the new blockbuster are only viewed by those who “need to know,” the content is sent securely via Signal to actors’ and managers’ iPads and laptops. Because this content is under tight security, the studio set a "view two times" policy on the content – any additional attempts to view content will require approval from the studio. Once the final talent is lined up, content is deleted from the devices of those who weren’t cast.
